Keyless Signature Infrastructure (KSI™) is an alternative technology to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for authenticating electronic data. Unlike PKI, KSI is based only on hash function cryptography, obviating the need for key management, security of key stores and trusted system administrators.
KSI is an open-standard, open-source and open-infrastructure technology. The following deck gives an overview of the components of the system – hash functions, hash trees, hash chains, and hash calendars followed by a description of the infrastructure and how it is deployed.
